Some kind words from our guests who have stayed in The Roundhouse
- Susan 18/07/2023We came here for a few days of peace and quiet in the countryside and the roundhouse was perfect for that. The accommodation was comfortable and attractive, and we could walk the dog from the door. There are some steep hills that challenged my arthritic knees, it would be worth bringing a hiking stick if that’s a problem for you.
It is not far to visit the seaside, Combe Martin has a great dog walking beach (Newberry beach) and a great dog friendly pub on the front.
All in all highly recommended for a quiet country break.read moreread less - Jenny 06/07/2023The Roundhouse was in an idyllic location with beautiful views. Very peaceful.
The property was well designed, and stylishly quirky. Lovely comfortable bed and quality linens.
On the listing it didn’t seem to mention the 2nd bathroom with shower so we were pleasantly surprised!
Loved it 😊read moreread less - Harriet 07/06/2023Located down a very quiet lane, an idyllic setting overlooking hills with grazing sheep. Lovely comfortable accommodation for 2 adults and a dog, with peaceful and private courtyard facing the afternoon, evening sun great for dinner. Perfect spot for walking directly from into the countryside and down to Heddon’s mouth; the most beautiful walk we’d done in Devon. We only wish we could have stayed longer!read moreread less
- Geoff 17/02/2023Hidden away in the country lanes of Parracombe, the split level cottage was just perfect for a few days break in the idyllic countryside. What looks like nothing much from the outside is actually a beautifully decorated space on the inside, surrounded by beautiful hills and wildlife…and no noise from cars 🙂
With everything you could need amenity wise at your fingertips to country walks right on your doorstep, I couldn’t recommend this place enough to couples wanting a break from the norm. Perfectly heated, with plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed to boot! Thanks for having us!read moreread less - Alex 13/02/2023Absolutely loved our stay here. Stargazing is a must! The cottage was so cosy and clean with a perfect log burner. We loved the personal touches, especially the yummy fudge! We had to buy more before we came home. We also got the chance to have some fresh eggs from the farm. Thank you both for a wonderful stay and we hope to visit again soon!read moreread less
- Claire 04/02/2023We had a fantastic week staying at The Roundhouse. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful Exmoor with great views from the bedroom and living area. The property was fully equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite being January it was also very nice warm and cosy and we enjoyed making good use of the log burner! Highly recommend staying at Heale farm, we will definitely be back again! We didn’t bring our pup this time but definitely would in the future as can see it’s a great place to stay with dogs as well.read moreread less
- Emma 20/01/2023We stayed in the Round House for 4 days in the middle of January. Despite snow falling on our first night the place was really comfortable and cosy. The wood burner has plenty of logs sand is a lovely addition.
Heale farm is right out in the country with lovely views almost to the sea. We walked from the front door down to Heddon Valley. A beautiful circular walk reaching the mouth of the river and with a pub, Hunters Inn, half way thru. Hunters in was very quiet for the time of year (closed Mon & Tues) but we had a pleasant burger. Dogs are allowed.
The Round House had everything we needed.
Our Border Terrier loved the accommodation and walks.read moreread less - Candice 04/01/2023We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! Beautiful accommodation and very clean!
